A Tribute To Timothy

Our friend and Creation Care Church colleague Timothy J. Verret passed away on November 27, and a bright light went out in this world. We put together this video in loving memory of Timothy.

Timothy loved the Lord Jesus with all his heart.  He put Jesus at the helm of his life day by day in all that he did.  He worked hard to apply God’s Word in his life while remaining open to a deeper understanding of it and to adjusting course as necessary.  He admitted his shortcomings, and worked to overcome his deepest hurts openly and honestly.  He embraced the life Father God gave him, even the most painful parts.  Especially since his involvement with Celebrate Recovery, he was learning to really live.  He was very involved with CR, applying what he learned there to his life, as well.  He was learning to play the Cello, as well as leading a bible study at Discovery Inn, writing the Discovery Inn newsletter, doing local animal advocacy work, doing book clubs, writing God Sonnets and other articles on his blog, writing the Creation Care Church newsletter as well as some God Sonnets for CCC, painting and drawing and creating from his heart.

He loved the stage and acting.  He wrote film reviews on his blog of some of his favorite films and praised some of his favorite actors/actresses, screen writers, singers (Ingrid Bergman, actress; Stephen Sondheim, Broadway composer and lyricist; Barbra Streisand, singer/actress/filmmaker).  He has at least three books published: Clarabelle Comes Clean; The Denial Family, a Play in Three Acts; and Ingenting, a Collection of Six Spiritual One-Act Plays.  He was always ready to, or helping others.   The Humane League was his favorite animal advocacy group, and Good Acre’s Farm Sanctuary Timothy’s favorite get away, reflect, and refresh spot.  Timothy loved his human family dearly.  His furry family members, he called them his fur kids, meant the world to him – Blue his dog; Groucho and Conrad his two cats – and he took good care of them.  Timothy loved them dearly.  And, Timothy took time for deep conversation with friends.

We miss you, Timothy! Until we meet again…. ❤️
